An exceptional and unique late Victorian gentleman's residence offering self catering accommodation of up to 22 guests in 10 bedrooms, 9 of which are ensuite and overlook the sea.
The property is situated in Lynton which is often described as 'Little Switzerland' and located on Exmoor in North Devon.
The house overlooks Exmoor and the sea and most of the rooms offer the most incredible sea and Exmoor views
The house offers a tranquil and secluded setting yet is just a whisper away from Lynton's amenities and attractions such as restaurants, pubs, shops and the unique cliff railway which takes passengers down to Lynmouth and its harbour.
The well equipped farmhouse kitchen includes a three oven Aga, two double ovens and 8 electric rings. There are two dishwashers, two large refrigerators, one freezer and all the pans, cutlery and cooking implements that one could wish for. In addition there is a washing machine and tumble drier.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a large dining room with seating for up to 24. Tablecloths, serviettes and table mats are included.
On the first floor are two spacious lounges with comfortable seating - one with a wood burner and the second with open fire and a baby grand piano. Both rooms have access to a terrace and have the most amazing seaviews.
On this floor are two twin bedded rooms, both ensuite. One bedroom has a balcony overlooking the garden.
Up the grand staircase guests will find another 5 well appointed bedrooms.
Two double ensuite bedrooms. One has a balcony overlooking the garden and the second with double aspect and a balcony with seaviews.
One twin zip and link bedroom with seaviews and a balcony. There is a shower and wash basin with a toilet located along the corridor.
The Four poster bedroom with seaviews and ensuite bathroom.
The fifth bedroom is ensuite and again zip and link with a view over the garden.
A separate toilet is located at the end of the corridor
Up another flight of stairs is access to three more bedrooms. One of which is a family room ensuite with a double and twin bedroom - again double aspect with dramatic views of Lynmouth and the sea.
In addition there is a superking ensuite bedroom and another twin with wash basin.
Set in its own splendid garden which consists of a huge lawned area large enough for a game of cricket, badminton or a marquee for a reception or party. In addition there is a large BBQ area with seating for 22 and two large brick built BBQs. Up the steps from this area is the beautiful conservatory with grapevine and views of the sea. Guests are also invited to walk around the terraced area of the garden with its wide selection of plants.
Walk out of the front door to enter a wealth of walks and cycle rides over Exmoor. The South West Coast Path is within a ten minute walk.
Within a short drive there are golf courses, the local surf beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde. The towns of Ilfracome and Minehead with Butlins as a huge attraction for families are within 30 minutes.
Described as 'little Switzerland' the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth are located within an enviable position where Exmoor meets the sea. There are rivers, combes, beaches, cliff walks, outstanding scenery and is within Exmoor National Park.
Exmoor is growing in popularity with moutain bikers, walkers, rock climbing in the Valley of the Rocks, canoeing and canyoning. Archery, paintballing, karting and tenpin bowling are also in close proximity.
Families are well catered for with Watermouth Castle, The Big Sheep, The Dinoseur Park and Exmoor Zoo all within a short drive.
Every member of the family can be easily accommodated with an endless array of activities to choose from.
Keen walkers can exit the property and not have to use the car as the South West Coast Path is within a 10 minute walk or a wide variety of other walks in all directions.
