In the idyllic village of Naunton is this beautiful, traditional Cotswold stone property, Gleed Cottage. Enjoying a peaceful location, just paces away from the well-regarded pub, this homely dwelling is ideal for two couples or a small family seeking a rural escape.

Entering the property, you will discover a blend of character features, complimented by contemporary furnishings, the living/dining room has lovely oak beams, flagstone flooring and a large inglenook fireplace home to a warming woodburning stove, slouch into the welcoming sofa and watch some entertaining TV with your loved ones.

Prepare delicious meals in the well-appointed kitchen and gather round the dining table to enjoy your meal together, as you toast to a wonderful holiday ahead.

Gleed Cottage offers two welcoming bedrooms, bedroom one located on the first floor is a lovely double bedroom and shares the floor with the bathroom, and bedroom two is accessed up a second flight of stairs, through a ledge and brace door and into the eaves of the cottage where you will find twin beds that can be set up as a king-size bed on request.

The beautifully presented, enclosed garden is found at the front of the house and has a pleasing patio area, with furniture and a barbecue to make use of in summer months!

If you fancy getting out of the kitchen, just steps outside your door you will find The Black Horse Inn which has a pleasant ambience and offers home-made, locally sourced food and lovely drinks, or explore the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds, with the centre of Naunton right on your doorstep and the River Windrush flowing through the village which is set in a ‘bowl’ within the scenic Cotswold hills, it’s the perfect place for exploring.

Nearby Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ due to the low arched bridges that cross over the River Windrush, boasts a variety of popular shops and attractions such as Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection and The Model Village – Bourton-on-the-Water in model form, and Greystones Farm & Nature Reserve which is home to wildflower meadows and a working organic farm; offering time out from the hustle and bustle of the village centre.

Visit the bustling market town of Stow-on-the-Wold where you can stroll around the market square and discover the town stock which dates back to the 15th century and is shaded by a majestic Elm Tree and then head over to St Edward’s Parish Church where you will find the enchanting looking tree surrounded doorway and finally, finish off with refreshing tipple at The Porch House.

The town is home to the renowned Cheltenham Festival, 4 days of horse jump racing culminating in the Gold Cup, held annually in March at Cheltenham Racecourse.
