The rural setting is appreciated for its tranquility, though some guests noted it could be challenging to find. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements were mentioned, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found Park Bothy to be clean and well-presented, with several positive remarks about its condition upon arrival. However, a few guests reported issues with dust, cobwebs, and pet hair, suggesting room for improvement in the cleaning regime.

The lodge's location is generally praised for its quiet, rural setting and proximity to Cotswold attractions. Some guests found it a bit remote, with limited public transport, but the peaceful environment was a highlight for many.

Guests frequently complimented the comfort of the property, mentioning the large bedroom and comfortable bed. Some guests suggested that the sofa could be more comfortable, and there were comments about the need for additional heating in colder months.

The facilities, including the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen, were appreciated by guests. However, there were several mentions of minor maintenance issues, such as problems with the hob and fire alarm, and suggestions for additional items like wine glasses and outdoor taps for dog owners.

While many guests were pleased with the provisions and equipment provided, there were no specific mentions of gifts, and therefore it is not possible to accurately assess the thoughtfulness in terms of gifts. It should be noted that while some guests were delighted with the supplies, such as milk and biscuits, these are not guaranteed for every stay.

Enjoyed our stay here. Could be critical on some kitchen items missing but this would be harsh and the quality of the place is superb. Bed was comfy, hot tub lid required two of you to remove/put on which was fine for us.

Close to local towns. Would love to give 5 stars, however as there’s no cover over the hot tub we unfortunately lost a couple of days use of the hot tub due to the rain!

The facilities were lovely and and well appointed for a couple. That being said, there were a few minor frustrations during our trip. 1. When we arrived there was no fire lighters to light the fire. With such a main feature of the property I thought this was frustrating. I called and I was told that someone would drop them off soon and that took 3 hours. 2. The radiator in the bedroom didn’t work. I again called the maintenance and someone was sent to look at it (the same chap bought fire lighters) but again it was around 3 hours since I reported the issue and we were just sat about during our relaxing break waiting for someone. We were also told he needed to come back the following day to fix so again, no heat in the bedroom in November. 3. The bedside lamps don’t work on the far side of the bedroom. I didn’t even want to bother with this as it was late and we only had one more night. 4. The knives were really poor in the kitchen. They are more dangerous when blunt than sharp. I’d like to reiterate that aside from the above the stay was excellent. The hot tub was fantastic, the place was cosy, easy to find and an easy walk to Stow and Bourton. The above points are just feedback that would of made our stay perfect. We would certainly return.
