Snaptrip says

Highcroft is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and tranquil location. Guests enjoyed the presence of deer, the comfortable beds, and the hot tub. The property is ideal for family gatherings and offers stunning views. Some minor issues with kitchen equipment and seating were mentioned, but overall experiences were very positive.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently noted the property as very clean, with one review stating 'cleanliness was second to none'. There was a single mention of the kitchen oven and items needing better cleaning, but this appears to be an isolated comment.

The location is frequently described as tranquil and amazing, with beautiful views and wildlife. It's mentioned as a great base for exploring the area. The presence of another rental property nearby was a slight concern for one guest seeking seclusion.

The comfort of the beds and bedding is highlighted in many reviews, with guests describing them as 'comfy' and 'luxurious'. The spaciousness of the property also contributed to the overall comfort.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests noted a lack of baking equipment, awkward parking, and a need for better kitchen layout. The presence of modern TVs and a BBQ were positives.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that could be attributed to thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

It was also very clean. Sofas and beds super comfy. Lots of utensils in the kitchen. Great views from every window of the countryside and deer. Huge fridge and freezer.

It's a perfect location for all the main attractions in the local area, surrounded by rolling hills and a field full of deer. We used the stay to celebrate two 60th birthdays in the family, the cottage had everything we needed including a large family dining area, well equipped kitchen and 2 living rooms. The hot tub was the cherry on top and Jo (the owner) came every morning to ensure it was clean and ready to use. On the Sunday we went to the local pub, The Cock Inn, 5 min drive for a Sunday Roast and wasn't disappointed. We will definately be returning! We will definately

We have had a marvellous time. The house is lovely, well cared for and very clean. The owners Jo and Rob are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. One of the delights is looking out of the windows to see deer very close by grazing. Hot tub was amazing. We have had a quiet and peaceful holiday even with four grandchildren in attendance. Hopefully will be returning soon. We also travelled into Matlock Bath and Belper. Both worth a visit. Thank you.
