Snaptrip says

Guests have had a delightful experience at Ramson Lodge, praising its beautiful setting, comfortable beds, and cosy atmosphere. The hot tub and dog-friendly environment are particular highlights, along with a complimentary hamper that adds a touch of luxury. The lodge's peaceful location and surrounding nature contribute to a restful stay, with forest walks and local amenities enhancing the experience. Some guests noted room for improvement in kitchen equipment and the provision of mirrors, but these were minor points in otherwise glowing feedback.

Guests that stayed at this property said

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score for this category.

The lodge is consistently described as peaceful with beautiful surroundings, indicating a high level of satisfaction with the location. The proximity to decent pubs, takeaways, and forest walks adds to the appeal, although one mention of a bumpy road suggests a slight inconvenience for some.

Comfort is a strong point for the lodge, with guests finding the beds very comfortable and the lodge warm despite cold weather. However, there is a mention of thin walls and a lack of mirrors, which suggests that while the overall comfort is high, there are areas that could be improved.

Facilities such as the hot tub and the complimentary hamper are highly appreciated, and the lodge is well-regarded for its family space and quality fittings. However, some guests felt the kitchen could be better equipped, and there was disappointment with the fishing experience due to external factors.

The provision of a complimentary hamper and cosy bathrobes indicates a high level of thoughtfulness. Guests felt well-cared for, with special touches that made their stay more enjoyable. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a wonderful time. Quiet, nice walks, they have thought of everything to give you a luxury comfortable holiday. Would return in a heart beat.

The accommodation was excellent. Personally I would have liked a mirror in the second bedroom as the only mirror was a shaving one in the on suite shower room. The location was beautiful. So peaceful with lovely views. The only disappointing aspect of the holiday was that my husband and his friend found the fishing very frustrating. They didn't catch anything all week. They had spoken to the maintenance guy who said that otters had been in the lake and eaten the fish! So considering its advertised as a fishing holiday, it was a bit of a let down. But apart from that we enjoyed the week, especially the weather.

Amazing lodge, suprise welcome basket that was very generous, lovely 5* touches like a hotel. Lovely location, loved the planting to create privacy between lodges. Quality fittings and well stocked utensils in the kitchen. Perfect family space to visit our new grandbabies and local zoo. The only thing to add would be a couple of additional signs just before and just after the tennis court area for additional feeling of on right track.
