Snaptrip says

New Lodge is consistently praised for its stunning location, beautiful views, and luxurious amenities. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, cleanliness, and comfort of the property, making it ideal for family gatherings. The private jetty and garden are standout features. Some minor maintenance issues and a need for additional storage are noted, but overall experiences are overwhelmingly positive.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is frequently described as spotlessly clean, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. There are minor comments about dust and a cursory clean under sofas, but these are exceptions in the overall feedback.

The location is highly praised for its beauty, stunning views, and privacy. It is considered perfect for exploring the Lake District, with a private jetty and proximity to Ullswater Lake being particularly appreciated.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of lovely furnishings and comfortable beds. The spaciousness and suitability for large groups contribute to the comfort level, although the lack of wardrobes in some rooms is a noted drawback.

The house is well-equipped and offers luxurious amenities, including a games room and well-stocked kitchen. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as heating problems, water leaks, and exterior wear that suggest room for improvement.

While guests mention a 'very classy welcome basket' and a 'top quality welcome hamper', there are inconsistencies with the provision of these gifts, and they are not guaranteed. Due to the lack of consistent references to thoughtfulness outside of the welcome gifts, a score cannot be accurately provided.

We’ve stayed at New Lodge for 3 years running and each year it’s been amazing. I can’t thank Mark enough for ensuring everything is just perfect on our arrival. Great place to enjoy some quality family time. We just love it and we hope you all do too.

It was a stunning house in the most idyllic spot. However the house is now showing some signs of wear and tear. One small point is the welcome pack was not as advertised at all (none of us had taken sugar as it was supposed to have been there). Whereas when we stayed before it was a much better welcome pack.
