Snaptrip says

Guests have enjoyed the unique and cosy nature of The Triumphal Arch East, appreciating its lovely setting within the Holkham Estate. The property's ideal location for walking and exploring the local area has been highlighted, along with the comfortable bed and quality linens. A welcome pack added a thoughtful touch to the stay, although its contents may vary.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the property to be cosy and comfortable. However, there were a few mentions of cleanliness issues such as uncleaned interior windows and a mirror, suggesting room for improvement in this area.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and convenience, with easy access to local attractions and the ability to bring pets. The property's setting within the Holkham Estate is a significant positive factor.

The property is generally found to be comfortable, especially the bed, but some guests noted that the size of the cottage could feel cramped, particularly during longer stays or bad weather.

Facilities are adequate for short stays, but some guests expressed a desire for upgrades to the kitchen and noted the absence of a log burner that was mentioned online. Maintenance issues like a fridge ice box needing defrosting were also reported.

The welcome pack was well-received and considered a lovely surprise, contributing to the overall positive experience. However, it should be noted that the specifics of such gifts may not be guaranteed and could vary.

This is a TINY accommodation. Not enough room to eat or prepare meals. Minimal cooking equipment Not really on the Holkham estate, quite a walk to get to the house. However clean and quick response to request for more supplies. OK for 1 night only

We knew it was small but we weren’t prepared for just how tiny the accommodation was. Very cosy indeed only suitable for a short break

  • Mr Malkin

Very warm on a cold wet visit but like others disappointed to find the log burner and logs did not exist. Would like to have known "bathroom" on the top floor did not include a WC though it was not a big issue but i do find the images on the website key when booking and reviewing where to go and we were disappointed that these portray spacious or shall we say reasonable accommodation that in fact is very confined. The sofa is a the best example of this where it is a squeeze for 2 where the photo makes it look wide enough for 4. I guess ideal for 1 maybe 2 nights but we cut our 3 nights short and left a day early due to the cramped living space.
