Heron House is a real hidden gem of a hideaway, enjoying a large, sunny south-facing garden, plus, what everyone wants in Wells... private parking! Immaculately presented, offering comfortable and well-equipped holiday accommodation, Heron House is ideal for a short break, or longer stay, at any time of the year. Instantly warm and welcoming, guests will feel right at home. The impressive bespoke well-equipped kitchen with blended breakfast room is ideal for congregating to enjoy sociable meal times. Sumptuous sofas in the dual-aspect sitting room, and comfortable seating in garden room, offer a choice of two delightfully sunny spots in which to relax, with the added bonus of both overlooking the garden. From the garden room, french doors open out to the lush outdoor space. Plenty of storage space for boots and coats, a laundry room, utility, and downstairs cloakroom complete this floor. Upstairs, three coastal inspired bedrooms are presented. The master bedroom hosts a king-size bed with a Tempur mattress, and is served by a modern en suite bathroom featuring bath with shower over. Spacious bedroom two hosts a double bed, with twin beds available in bedroom three. These rooms have the use of a shower room with generous walk-in shower. Outside, steps leads down from a gravel patio area to a well-kept lawn, which is bordered by mature planting. A delight bistro table is provided for enjoying a morning coffee or sharing in a carafe of wine. At the bottom of the garden there is a car port with private parking for two cars, and enough space to turn.
Wells-next-the-Sea is a superb destination, with everything you can possibly need right on the doorstep - independent butchers, bakers, fishmongers and greengrocers, home ware stores, boutiques and gift shops, two supermarkets and an excellent selection of good eateries. And, of course, don't forget the stunning beach with its colourful array of beach huts, and the bustling Quay where you just have to try your hand at crabbing and some of the best fish and chips around. Wells is perfectly placed for exploring the magnificent beaches and coastal resorts to the west and east along this stretch of coastline.

I have no hesitation in recommending Heron House. It’s a lovely spacious house which was perfect for us. We cooked a few nights as we had a baby with us and the kitchen was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds too. The location is great, as it’s only a few minutes walk into the heart of Wells-Next-The-Sea, which is very quaint with a lovely harbour. The beach is fabulous and well worth the walk.
