Just three miles from Bamburgh and near Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve, the picturesque village of Bamburgh offers long golden beaches and a great choice of shops, pubs, restaurants and golf courses. Don't miss a tour of the imposing Bamburgh Castle or the pretty fishing village of Seahouses just three miles away which hosts many attractions including boat trips to the incredible seal colony on the Farne Islands. Berwick and the castle and gardens at Alnwick are a short drive away.

Around and About

There are many visitor attractions nearby including Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Bamburgh village offers wide, sandy beaches and Bamburgh Castle, which dominates this area of the coastline and can be seen for miles. The family of the great Victorian industrialist, Lord Armstrong, still resides in the castle, and visitors can explore this dramatic fortress. The pretty stone cottages, pristine village green, good pubs and restaurants and welcoming atmosphere make Bamburgh village an ideal destination for a relaxing break.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
