This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

Would be happy to return. A small point for information is that residual waste and recycling calendar requires updating in the information folder. When we arrived both outside bins were almost full and appeared not to have been emptied for a while. We placed both bins out for the Thursday collection and fortunately the residual waste was emptied but not the recycling.

The oven was very dirty and smoky on cooking. The table was so dirty it took a while to clean that and the mats. The table is to big for the space and no space to pull chair’s out let alone accommodate 6 people. Cracked and chipped crockery was found in the cupboards. Lounge and hallway were very dirty when walking around on them. A large hole in first floor landing is still not mended as it had been mentioned in the visitors book a few times. Main bathroom shower glass door was leaking water all over the floor. Patio door curtains were very dirty and paint work was chipped. Security alarm was flashing all the time. For the price,we would not stay here again. We have stayed in this estate before and had a brilliant holiday home, which was unfortunately available this time. The water pressure was very low and when the kitchen tap was on only a trickle off water came out, so paying for a 2 bathroom house was very annoying and expensive we couldn’t use 2 bathroom. On the positive side the bedroom beds and bathrooms were very clean.
