Snaptrip says

Guests generally find the cottage in Morpeth comfortable, well-decorated, and conveniently located. The property is praised for its cleanliness, homely touches, and comfortable beds. However, there have been repeated mentions of an ant infestation issue in the kitchen, which has affected some guests' stays.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is frequently described as clean, with spotless decor and fresh bed linen. However, the recurring ant problem in the kitchen suggests a need for improvement in this area.

The cottage's location is highly regarded, being close to the harbour, town, and local amenities, making it a great base for exploring Morpeth and the surrounding area.

Guests have found the beds very comfortable and the living spaces homely. The property is well-received for its overall comfort, contributing to enjoyable stays.

The property is well-equipped and offers good Wi-Fi and a well-stocked kitchen. However, the ant infestation and lack of waste bins and charging points have been noted as areas for improvement.

While guests appreciate the homely touches and provisions, there is no mention of gifts, and therefore it cannot be determined if thoughtfulness in the form of gifts is a consistent practice at this property.

A home-away-from-home, enjoy a memorable stay at 4 Percy Street.

Amble, a bustling small harbour at the River Coquet's mouth, is a great starting point for exploring Northumberland. In addition to sandy beaches, a marina, a harbour, and coastal hikes to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and the national park at Druridge Bay, Amble, once a centre for boatbuilding, offers all of these amenities. A variety of fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are landed by the large fishing boats that are moored around the harbour wall. On the side of the harbour is a fish centre that sells local fish and is available to the public. It is currently mostly a shellfish hatchery to restock levels of lobster and other shellfish. Coquet Island, an rspb reserve with a sizable population of terns, puffins, and eider ducks, is located one mile south of Amble. Boat tours around the island can be booked. A short drive will take you to attractive Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, charming Warkworth with its castle, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall and Cragside, in addition to a number of excellent beaches and charming coastal villages.

Nice area round the back but unfortunatley was a bit to windy to make the most of it. Nice location, walks from more or less outside your door Amble was a nice little place

there does seem to be a problem with ants, they were on worktops each morning even though we didnt leave food out. I know it's a difficult one to solve but only mentioning as I'm sure it will be worse in the summer. Overall still a lovely stay

Problem only evident in kitchen, but wasn't able to leave food out as a result. Also couldn't use the kitchen bin without 100's of ants appearing, so all good waste had to go directly into the outside bins. Food and ants not a great combination, ended up eating out more than not. Other than that, nice property, but spoilt the holiday, and feel the problem should have been resolved by now.
