Guests are consistently delighted with their stays at the Beech lodge, praising its cleanliness, comfortable amenities, and the warm hospitality of hosts Ian and Carol. The hot tub is a highlight, offering relaxation after a day of hiking, with stunning views and a peaceful farm setting adding to the charm. The presence of friendly farm animals and the proximity to Ulverston town enhance the experience.
Reviewers frequently mention the cleanliness of the Beech pod, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. The attention to detail by the hosts in this regard is consistently noted.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views, peaceful farm setting, and proximity to Ulverston town. It's also noted as a great base for exploring the Lake District, contributing to its high rating.
Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the pod welcoming and cosy. The only minor drawback mentioned is a single reference to a worn-out mattress, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.
Facilities, including the well-maintained hot tub and the well-equipped pod, receive high marks. The farm and animals are additional attractions. There is a single mention of water pressure needing attention, but overall, the facilities are described as excellent.
While the reviews are replete with praise for the hosts' hospitality and the welcoming nature of the stay, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches beyond the standard offering, so it is not possible to score this category.

Ulverston is recognised for being a festival town, hosting a variety of activities during the summer, including flag-waving and walking, music and art festivals, and the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the owners very nice, especially when giving us guidance of places around to go on walks and things to see. Short walk away from shops and places to grab a bite to eat and a short drive to many different attractions. Water pressure in the bathroom sink could do with a little look but other than that a stunning cosy place to stay would definitely recommend.

The accommodation is in a fantastic location with all the facilities needed for a short stay. The hot tub was the perfect reward after a long day of walking in the fells with great views across the hills. Iâm sure the outside seating area would be wonderful when the weather is more forgiving but the Pod is comfortable and plenty warm and cozy when itâs windy and wet outside. The cooking facilities were adequate for a few simple home cooked meals and a generously sized fridge is provided for all your fresh supplies. There were some great modern touches like a heated towel rail, USB charge points and fast WIFI. I was travelling on my own but I think two people could be just as comfortable without getting in each otherâs way. If I could have two wishes it would be for a bedside lamp for reading as the main light is a little bright in the evening and some soap in the bathroom would have been nice. All in all though, a great time was had and I would have no hesitation booking again. Thank you for a lovely stay

I particularly liked the fact that each hut was set so that it didn't overlook another, even when in the hot tub. Very kind, helpful family, they should advertise their eggs are for sale!!! They were delicious!
