This Grange-over-Sands apartment sits in an elevated position and is perfect for a couple wishing to spend time together in an area known for its gentle climate and close proximity to the Lake District. All on the first floor, this apartment in Grange-over-Sands has one double bedroom and a light and airy sitting room with a Juliet balcony looking out across to the Kent Viaduct and Arnside Knott on the Lancashire coast. Outside this Grange-over-Sands apartment there is a delightful garden, so no matter what time of day it is, you can sit outside, perhaps enjoying some of the local produce sold by the many excellent specialist food shops in the town. The colourful town centre of Grange-over-Sands can be reached within a short downhill walk, with a steep incline on the return journey, and has a lovely promenade area with fine gardens and a traditional bandstand. Cartmel, home of the sticky toffee pudding, is a short drive away and has a beautiful medieval priory, excellent restaurants and a stream running through the centre, complete with ducks. Situated in the southern Lake District and just a few short miles from the coastal estuary and the seaside town of Grange-over-Sands is the small village of Lindale. With a true 'Lakeland feel', due to its narrow streets, traditional dwellings and quaint old pubs, this charming village is positioned on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell. The coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange are worth a visit, whilst the pretty town of Cartmel - with its famous annual horse race meetings - offers plenty to see. Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead are only a short drive away and still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many visitors. The fabulous countryside which surrounds Lindale also provides exceptional walking and cycling opportunities.

    Allocated parking + garden with seating. Very responsive host. Friendly neighbours. Nice walk into town with everything you need. The walk back gets easier! Highly recommend.

    The flat itself proved excellent in every room, and the ever-changing view of Morecambe Bay is fascinating even in bad weather. All in all a brilliant week for us. Some very very minor comments: (1) cooking on the induction hob was a challenge but we managed it; (2) there were no instructions we could find for the DVD or CD players which would have been helpful (again we eventually figured these out); (3) the TV remote worked perfectly well during the day, but didn't work easily or at all sometimes in the evening! (changing batteries made no difference - very strange); (4) the radiators were brilliant but I have done something to the one immediately by the lounge door and it no longer seems to work. Sorry about that. Information booklet concerning the radiators was too complex for me!! Thank you Mike.
