Snaptrip says

Guests consistently praise the cottage for its immaculate condition, tasteful decor, and welcoming atmosphere. The property's location is ideal for scenic walks and exploring local attractions, with the town's amenities within easy reach. The beds are noted for their comfort, and the owners receive commendations for their hospitality and attentiveness. While there is a mention of a musty smell in one area, this does not detract from the overall positive experiences shared by visitors.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its spotless presentation. One isolated comment about a musty smell in a snug area suggests a minor issue, but this is not a recurring theme in the feedback.

The location is frequently praised for its proximity to local amenities, scenic walks, and the town centre. The ease of access to the Yorkshire Dales and other attractions contributes to a high score, although the property is not directly in the Yorkshire Dales as one review notes.

Comfort is a standout feature, with guests mentioning sumptuously comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere. The property is described as warm and inviting, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, good WiFi, and a powerful shower. However, one review suggests adding a TV to a snug area, indicating room for improvement.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of welcome treats such as wine and biscuits. While these gestures are appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are a kind bonus and may not be a standard offering for every stay.

We had an accident on the way there and he organised a local garage for me on a Sunday. The main bed is very comfortable and the shower was very powerful. Located near the Greyhound Pub which does food and a quiz night. Short distance to the town square. Would definitely recommend and hopefully revisit in the future.

A warm welcome from your hosts with good local information, lots to see and do in this friendly village and surrounds .

The cottage was beautifully decorated , was spotless and is perfectly located for walking into town. One tiny little niggle, would have liked a bath sheet instead of a bath towel, which was small.
