Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews overwhelmingly indicate that The Willows is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, with only a single mention of a minor issue with cleanliness that seems to be an isolated incident.

The property's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and convenience for touring Kent, with easy access to local attractions and the countryside.

The majority of guests found the property to be comfortable and spacious. There was a single mention of a preference for a firmer mattress, suggesting that comfort levels are generally high but may vary based on personal preference.

Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and bonus features like a gym. However, there were a few mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken bed and a non-functioning TV, which slightly lower the score.

While the host is frequently mentioned as helpful and welcoming, there are no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful touches that would fall under this category. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

About this property

This lovely, detached cottage is set just outside the villages of Adisham and Aylesham, in rural Kent. It is situated just a couple of miles from the bustling village of Wingham and within a 20 minute drive of the historic city of Canterbury, making it an ideal holiday base. Spacious and light, the cottage offers couples and families a place to relax and unwind, with two sitting areas, one which forms part of the first floor double bedroom and has stunning views over open countryside. The main sitting area is on the ground floor and forms part of the open plan living area, along with a well-equipped fitted kitchen and dining area, so everyone can gather together and share a delicious meal. In the summer, enjoy a relaxing evening dining alfresco in the courtyard garden and share a bottle of wine straight from the wine chiller, a lovely way to end the day! Outside is a perfectly manicured lawn where, between the hours of dawn and dusk, guests can challenge each other to a fun game of croquet, or for more informal games there is a fully enclosed grassed area for everyone’s use. For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, look no further than The Willows, as the footpaths start directly outside the door. Put on your walking boots and stride out, saddle up or cycle off for the day. If you are looking for a more relaxing way to start your holiday, then pamper yourself with a beauty treatment that can be booked in advance with the owner. Alternatively, keep fit with the good selection of equipment available in the gym. If you are looking for a romantic retreat or a family holiday home, with scenic countryside and stunning views, yet close to links to London and the coast, then The Willows is the perfect holiday spot at any time of the year. Well appointed cottage. Owner really helpful with recommendations of things to do locally that weren't so obvious - kayaking on the river and repatriation of forgotten items!
