About this property

Charlestown 7 miles. Uniquely positioned within a remarkable historical building on the outskirts of St Austell in the desirable county of Cornwall, rests this fabulously-restored holiday home. The harbour town of Charlestown and the fabulous beach at Carlyon Bay are both just 7 miles away. Due to the location it is a perfect spot for exploring the whole of Cornwall. With both the coast and country resting on your doorstep, each packed full of sights and attractions worth visiting, The Linney makes an excellent base for a family of six looking for an escape to Cornwall. Park up in the off-road parking area before unloading your bags and making your way inside this lovely dwelling to begin your fabulous staycation. Be welcomed into the open-plan kitchen/diner upon entrance, traditionally-decorated with exposed wooden beams and housing an array of amenities to entice any budding chef to cook up a storm. Uncork a bottle of wine and gather together with your loved ones at the dining table or descend the stairs to the living room to indulge amongst the warmth of the 'flame effect' electric fire. In the evening, carry the conversation outdoors with a sociable seat on the patio; a truly lovely spot to soak in the last of the summer sunshine. In the cooler months, settle down for the evening in front of the television to enjoy a movie marathon, before pouring in the bubbles and preparing for bed with a blissful soak in the tub. When sleep calls, choose between three well-presented bedrooms, with a super-king-size and two twin rooms each offering sumptuous sleeping quarters to catch your rest. Embark on a Cornish adventure with a trip to The Linney. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1093095, 1093103, 1093110, 1093105 and 1093108, together sleeping up to 38 guests.

Six miles outside of Bodmin, the small villages of Roche and Lanivet each have a few shops and pubs to offer visitors. Roche's lush surroundings provide the perfect setting for escaping the rigours of everyday life. Bodmin Moor and the north coast's rocky coves and towering cliffs are also within easy reach, and there are lots of hiking options. The Eden Project, Charlestown, Mevagissey, and the Roseland peninsula are all close by and offer family-friendly activities.

Lovely and bright and clean. Some small details as were a family of six with three growing hungry teenagers! The kitchen is a little smaller than it looks in the photos and some larger saucepans and utilities for 6 could be added. Missed a wooden spoon and a few things like that with no dishwasher a few more tea towels and cleaning sponges etc. There's not space for food storage so maybe one extra unit somewhere. Small points, as not everyone is feeding for six. We do think the blinds weren't effective on the old style veluxes and a long term investment might be to upgrade these windows with proper velux blinds. There was only one washing machine on the go in the laundry room and not two but looks like there had been a flood so maybe that is being addressed. Other than that it was all great and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces, the new shower was brilliant and needed, the beds were super comfortable with lovely clean linen etc. I also wanted to bring the sofa home! Thanks again, The Denwoods.
