About this property

Boasting an idyllic countryside setting on a former dairy farm, Mynheer Farm Barn offers guests a truly peaceful and memorable stay. Step into this smart converted barn and feel instantly at home; the cosy sitting room with wood burner and dining area makes for a most sociable space. A chic, pastel-coloured kitchen offers everything you could possibly need during your stay, and upstairs, two comfortable en-suite bedrooms offer flexible accommodation for couples or friends. Outside, a sheltered patio provides a lovely spot for morning breakfasts and guests are also welcome to explore the five and a half acres of field next to the property, where they will find a shared picnic area with wonderful panoramic views. The area surrounding Mynheer Farm Barn is steeped in mining history, and offers some fantastic walks through the engine house ruins. A number of cycle routes can be accessed from the front door, too. Take a stroll down to the village pub of an evening, and be sure to visit the open-air amphitheatre made famous by John Wesley at Gwennap Pit. Very fair pricing. Modern, clean, well maintained. We regularly had 'spot the bunny' family competitions! The separate bathrooms was a lovely touch too. Made our girls feel very grown up. The log burner made cold, rainy April evenings cozy and warm. I cannot genuinely find one negative thing to say. Definitely would come back to Mynheer Farm. 100% outstanding.

Cottage was well equipped and very comfortable with lots of thoughtful extra touches. We made good use of the outdoor sink and boot tray for cleaning and storing muddy boots! The Cornish cream tea was a real treat after a long journey. The hosts were friendly and welcoming but not intrusive.
