Snaptrip says

Monkleigh Mill in Devon is highly praised for its peaceful setting, cleanliness, and welcoming hosts, Julia and Paul. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable ground floor bedrooms, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The property's idyllic location offers tranquillity and beautiful countryside views, though some found it a bit remote. Despite a few minor issues, such as uncomfortable sofas and a fly infestation in one instance, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as very clean, with multiple reviews affirming its tidiness and well-kept state. One mention of a fly infestation seems to be an isolated incident and not indicative of the general cleanliness.

The location is praised for its peacefulness and proximity to local villages, though some guests note the difficulty in finding the property and navigating narrow lanes. The remote nature is appreciated by many, but it may not suit everyone's preferences.

Guests find the bedrooms comfortable and cool, and enjoy the views and the hot tub. However, there are comments about uncomfortable sofas and a preference for separate beds for children, which suggests room for improvement in comfort.

The facilities, including the kitchen and hot tub, are generally well-received. The property is described as well-equipped and interesting. There is a minor issue with a missing TV remote and occasional poor internet strength, but these do not significantly detract from the overall experience.

While the hosts are frequently mentioned for their helpfulness and welcoming nature, there are no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful touches left for guests. Therefore, it is not possible to score this category.

Nice touch was the milk, butter, cheese, biscuits and locally made apple juice left in the kitchen Lovely comfy beds and pitch black rooms at night which we like. Absolutely loved our stay all you can hear is birds in the trees, the stream and the owners Paul and Julia’s chickens, absolute bliss. Its location is great 15 minutes drive to bideford or Westwood Ho. Paul and Julia are fantastic hosts nothing was to much trouble. 100% we will be returning here.
