About this property

Jacob's Barn is a beautifully converted former barn, built in the early 18th century. Today it a stylish modern home which retains many original period features such as beamed ceilings and the original mill stone which now forms the centrepiece of the fountain outside. Here, you can explore the fields and streams of the six-acre farm estate and you are welcome to use the grass tennis court or simply enjoy the tranquil location from the decked seating area. Inside, the farmhouse kitchen is well equipped, and the large, comfortable lounge, off which is a games room with a table tennis, has an open fire. Upstairs, the three pretty bedrooms are full of character, with ancient exposed beams and have lovely views of the surrounding countryside. A haven for walkers, the western edge of Dartmoor is home to the National Trust's Lydford Gorge, and Brentor.

Lifton is a village in the Tamar Valley, close to Launceston in Cornwall. The community has a shop and Post Office, pub and three restaurants. It also has an award-winning farm shop with a bakery and on-site restaurant. Based for touring the South West, Dartmoor is 20 minutes away, Bodmin Moor is 30 minutes and the beaches and Cornish attractions can be reached in under 45 minutes.

Lovely property, clean and well equipped. Helen and Chris are welcoming with nothing being too much trouble. It is handy for visiting lots of different places such as Looe and Polperro, Plymouth, Dartmouth,Boscastle and Port Isaac to name a few .There are also lots of National trust properties near by which are worth a visit. We would highly recommend this. We will definitely be booking this property again.

I've never stayed at a place where I've felt more at home and looked after. Helen has thought of everything down to the smallest detail. We can't wait to stay there again.
