Guests consistently praise the apartment's superb location with stunning views and tranquil setting. The balcony is a highlight for relaxation and people-watching. The property is described as cosy, comfortable, and well-equipped, making for a restful stay. While some guests mention dated facilities, the charm and views seem to compensate.
Reviews frequently describe the apartment as clean and well-kept, suggesting high standards of cleanliness that contribute to the overall positive experience of guests.
The location is highly praised for its spectacular views, tranquillity, and proximity to local amenities and walks. It is considered one of the property's most outstanding features.
Guests find the apartment cosy and comfortable, with ample space and a homely feel. The comfortable settees and good-sized bedrooms with lovely views are appreciated, although one review mentions substandard bathing facilities.
While the apartment's charm is noted, some guests feel that the facilities, particularly the kitchen appliances and bathing options, are dated and could be improved. However, the presence of amenities like Wi-Fi and a smart TV is acknowledged.
There are mentions of the owners being friendly and providing cream tea, which indicates thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently referenced across reviews, it is not possible to guarantee such gestures for future guests.
Enjoy amazing views from dog-friendly Harbour House Apartment overlooking Porlock Weir Harbour. Watch harbour life from your private balcony in this unique holiday property on the Exmoor coast. Updated Feb22, still quaint, full of character with great walks, beach, pub, hotels, coffee shop close by.
Faux log burner fire in living room.

Location is absolutely idyllic and remarkably unspoilt. Right on the South-West coast path, we were there for the walking. Not overrun despite it being a Bank Holiday weekend. We spent every spare moment on the balcony watching all the goings on in the harbour with boats going in and out, jet skis,.... Location is absolutely idyllic and remarkably unspoilt. Right on the South-West coast path, we were there for the walking. Not overrun despite it being a Bank Holiday weekend. We spent every spare moment on the balcony watching all the goings on in the harbour with boats going in and out, jet skis, kayaks, swimmers, the hotel, the cafes, the pub, the beach… you get the idea! Has a private parking space which is always a bonus. Bedrooms are a good size and bed was comfy. Spacious lounge and separate dining area also come with those amazing views. WiFi available but it struggled a little if using one of the apps on the smart tv so encountered some buffering. Bathroom needs attention as does the entrance but do you know what, we forgave it all as we loved the ambiance and the immense charm of the apartment and the location for us was perfect. Met Colin a few times and he was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.
