Guests generally appreciate the cottage's prime location in Watchet, its cleanliness, and the thoughtful touches like a welcome cake and cider. The property is praised for its well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, dog-friendly amenities, and cosy atmosphere. Some concerns were raised about parking for larger vehicles and a few maintenance issues, but overall, the cottage offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of reviews highlight the property's cleanliness, with specific mentions of it being 'very clean on arrival' and 'spotlessly clean'. However, one review mentioned dust under furniture and a full hoover, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to local attractions, the harbour, and the steam railway. It is described as peaceful with lovely views, contributing to a positive experience.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, mentioning cosy features like a woodburner and comfortable beds. Some guests suggested improvements in the quality of mattresses and cutlery, indicating slight discomfort for some.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. However, some guests noted a lack of certain kitchen utensils, issues with heating and hot water, and squeaky cupboards, indicating that maintenance could be enhanced.

The provision of a welcome pack, dog bowls, and towels are appreciated gestures, showing thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts, while enjoyed by some guests, may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

The position of the house is perfect to walk everywhere. Although the garden is separated by a lane it wasn’t a problem getting the dogs across and we could sit with a morning coffee and see the sea. We did mention to you that the heavy wardrobe door was broken when we opened it but we didn’t really need to use it. Lovely to hear the steam trains in the distance. Great view from the main bed too. Lovely, quiet, chilled stay.

Generally very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The only slight grumble was the quality of the cutlery provided - knives and forks that wobble in the handles don't make for easy use!! There were also no oven gloves provided. Having said that, we really enjoyed our stay.
