Snaptrip says

Buttercup Lodge is highly praised for its peaceful and convenient location, cleanliness, and the thoughtful touches provided by the friendly owners. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, dog-friendliness, and the cosy comfort of the lodge, despite minor feedback on certain amenities. The property's setting is ideal for exploring Suffolk's beauty spots and enjoying nature.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the lodge's cleanliness, with only one mention of needing to wash some utensils before use. This appears to be an isolated incident, as the majority of reviews reflect a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, convenient, and well-situated for accessing local attractions and beauty spots. Its proximity to nature reserves and the Suffolk coast is a recurring positive highlight.

The lodge is generally regarded as warm, clean, and comfortable. Some guests mention firm mattresses and a large dining table as minor discomforts, but these do not detract significantly from the overall comfort experienced.

Facilities are well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and good heating. Criticisms include the absence of a hoover, a small bathroom basin, and the layout of the rooms. The fenced garden and pet-friendly amenities are appreciated, although there are suggestions for improvement.

The owners are commended for their thoughtfulness, with several mentions of a welcome pack and dog treats. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such gifts, though delightful, are not guaranteed.

eiston is located in the heart of the Suffolk Heritage Coast, with excellent connections to the popular seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh. In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the town thrived by producing steam tractors and cast and machined metal products. Many of the workers from the nearby power plant, Sizewell, now live in the town, which is well served by an active leisure centre and the oldest purpose-built cinema in Suffolk, which now offers the latest digital 3D projection systems!

The cottage was so cosy but had all the facilities you could want. The secure garden was perfect for Freddie the dog and the place was so well situated to explore the beautiful countryside.

My daughter loved the bunk beds and the location was spot on of for enjoying nature and peace and quiet. Only thing we were missing was that we could have done with a bread knife. Hoping to stay again with you soon.

We found the lodge was every that was listed and was really cosy and comfortable. The heating was on when we arrived which was fantastic as it had been a really cold day. The beds were really comfortable and I had a couple of really good night's sleep. The bathroom had a really, really good shower as well, which was really appreciated. The lodge is in very pleasant surroundings just off a very quite road. On the bird feeders and in the surrounding fields we saw a lot of different wildlife, including green woodpeckers, greater spotted woodpeckers, tree creepers, buzzards, an array of tits and a tawny owl (heard only). The lodge is in a really good location that's easy to get to and within an easy drive of a lot of what the region has to offer, such as Aldeburgh, Southwold, RSPB Minsmere, and Sutton Hoo to name a few. Saxmundham and Leiston have plenty of amenities if you need to stop up on any shopping to take back to the hut where there is the facility to cook up any reasonable sized dinner. Theberton itself is a quiet and charming village. There is a really decent playpark in the village that was ideal for our little one. One criticism I have is that the listing (currently) really understates how good the pub is. It's a cracking pub, with lots of decor that shows off the local history and you can find in the Good Beer Guide at the time of writing. The staff and locals were really friendly and there is a good range of home cooked food and they catered for the little one. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and if you are interested in visiting this part of Suffolk with a small family and are looking for a cosy and comfortable lodge within a good driving distance of many local sights then I would highly recommend this place.
