Snaptrip says

South Grange Cottage in Saxmundham, Suffolk, is a well-received holiday rental praised for its beautiful setting, cleanliness, and comfortable furnishings. Guests have enjoyed the peaceful location, stunning sunsets, and thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack. While some maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience has been positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'spotlessly clean'. This suggests that the property is maintained to a very high standard of hygiene.

The location is described as quiet and peaceful, with beautiful views and sunsets, making it an ideal setting for a relaxing holiday. Its proximity to local amenities and attractions like Snape Maltings adds to its appeal.

Guests have found the cottage to be very comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and well-furnished rooms. However, one review mentioned a lack of a handrail on a steep staircase, which could affect comfort for some guests.

The facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and a hot tub being highlights. However, scores are lowered due to maintenance issues such as a steep staircase lacking a handrail, a poorly positioned bathroom light switch, and a fly infestation in one of the bedrooms.

While guests have appreciated the welcome pack and the well-equipped property, there are not enough reviews mentioning specific thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

The cottage was spotless and very well presented. Thank you for the welcome pack that was very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful cotton bedding. We enjoyed the hot tub, we found it did take a while to heat up so plan your day so you can enjoy the tub in the evening. It was great watching the sunset in the evening whilst in the tub! Thank you we had a wonderful time.

The hot tub was lovely, it takes some effort as it is wood burning but it is well worth it. I'd suggest a screen to block out the other hot tub if separate parties are staying to give you a little bit of privacy. We loved our stay and are hoping to hire the entire house later this year.

) in the main bedroom - which the landlord says is to be expected - so you can expect that if it’s cold as he says they come inside to stay warm and just fall on the floor. He said “it’s an old house in the country… it wouldn’t bother me” and his offer of help was to leave a vacuum cleaner for us to hoover them up each day as more kept coming in. We had to move the bed in the day to stop them getting on our pillows as they seemed to come in that side of the room despite all the windows being shut. Thankfully we weren’t staying long and they’ve refused any kind of compensation for the farcical state of affairs. Absolute disgrace.
