Snaptrip says

Callow Lodge 15 in Shrewsbury offers a tranquil and picturesque setting, with guests praising its peacefulness, high-standard lodges, and friendly staff. The on-site restaurant, The Croft, receives special mentions for its quality meals. The site's maintenance of tranquility despite expansion and the presence of wildlife add to its charm. While some guests noted minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the lodge to be clean and well-presented, though there were a few mentions of cobwebs, a non-pristine kitchen floor, and dust which suggest room for improvement in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its idyllic setting, proximity to Shrewsbury, and the peaceful environment it offers. The natural beauty and quietness are consistent highlights in guest experiences.

Guests generally found the lodge comfortable and relaxing, with a few suggestions for additional seating and hooks for personal items. The presence of a hot tub and the lodge's tranquility contributed positively to comfort levels.

Facilities like the hot tub, restaurant, and fishing lakes are appreciated, but there are concerns about maintenance and conflicting information regarding facility use. Some guests also noted the need for better signage and clearer communication.

While guests were pleasantly surprised by welcome prosecco and essentials provided, there is insufficient information to determine if such gestures are consistent or guaranteed, thus a score cannot be accurately assigned.

Would suggest some hooks for towels etc on bathroom and bedroom doors, also a bath mat in bath would be good, very slippery almost fell getting out put me off having a bath which spoiled it for me as dislike showers. Well kept grounds. Pity The Croft was closed after Sunday Lunch until Wednesday as was the pub up the road so restricted for eating facilities locally thought would be open as high season. All in all a nice place to chill out.

We found it extremely comfortable, very well presented and relaxing. It would have been good to have some coat hooks by the front door and some hooks in the bedroom for robes. Also a full length mirror somewhere would’ve been great. These are very small observations - we had a lovely, relaxing holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the meals at The Croft, swimming in the pool and lounging in the hot tub. Some of the information in the welcome pack and at reception was contradictory so we had to keep checking - eg opening times of the restaurant, menu choices for Steak Night. But overall a very welcome break for us, in great accommodation.

Very quiet and peaceful stay. I have recommended this site to my mother and father, they are staying with you in September. I have told them it’s a must to visit the on site restaurant, a beautiful, luxury meal.
