The property is described as clean, spacious, and dog-friendly, making it an ideal retreat for both relaxation and exploration of Shropshire.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the property as clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments about minor cleanliness oversights. The overall impression is of a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is frequently described as peaceful and beautiful, with easy access to local attractions and walks. Some guests mention the need to drive to shops and pubs, but this does not significantly detract from the location's appeal.

The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and living spaces. A few guests note potential issues for taller individuals and a trip hazard in one bedroom, slightly affecting the score.

Reviews highlight the well-equipped kitchen, spacious rooms, and additional amenities like a log burner and private garden. Some minor maintenance issues are mentioned, such as a tricky lock, but overall the facilities are highly regarded.

While many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful touches like welcome packs with eggs and milk, there is not enough information to guarantee such gifts for future guests. Therefore, while appreciated, these gestures cannot be assured.

About this property

A delightful, early 19th century, detached coach house conversion, in a courtyard within the grounds of an old rectory, in the sleepy village of Shrawardine; a wonderful opportunity to enjoy one of our quality Shropshire cottages. Old Coach House has been skilfully developed to a very high standard to create an enticing combination of original character features with modern facilities, to offer welcoming, well-equipped accommodation. The approach to the cottage has lovely views towards the Breidden Hills and Rodney's Pillar, whilst the scenic Severn Way Walk runs beside the cottage. Wonderful walking can be enjoyed in the Shropshire Hills, and National Cycle Network route 81 is just 50 yards from the cottage. Within easy reach are Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Ludlow, the Ironbridge Gorge, Stokesay Castle and Acton Scott Historic Working Farm. A luxury Shrawardine cottage in an ideal location.

Shrawardine is a quiet and secluded village situated in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, ideally located for touring this scenic county. Shrawardine is an easy drive away from the stunning Shropshire hills of the Long Mynd, Stiperstones and Caradoc, with their exceptional walking, biking and horse riding opportunities. Shrawardine is home to the fascinating ruins of a 13th Century Norman castle with impressive views. Just six miles away the medieval city of Shrewsbury, offering a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants, a new theatre, timber-framed black-and-white buildings, riverside walks, an abbey and a castle, is waiting to be explored. Also close to Shrawardine are Church Stretton, Ludlow, the Severn Valley Railway and the Ironbridge Gorge museums.
