Wren Cottage was a lovely place to stay - very comfortable, clean and exceptionally well equipped. There were were welcome additional features such as the sensor lights on the stairs and in the bathroom. Just a pity the back door doesn't open directly on to the garden but that wasn't really a problem. There was easy access to various places to visit and I would definitely book again.

Ideally situated cottage for visiting all the places we wished to visit during our stay. The cottage is very well equipped, with virtually everything you would need and more besides. There is also a lovely welcome pack waiting for you on arrival. The beds were comfortable and linen of good quality. All Freeview channels on the TV are there, but only Iplayer and ITVX seemed to work during our stay. You can watch Netflix only if you’re prepared to log in using your own account and remember to log out before you leave. The parking space directly in front of the cottage is a little tight, especially if you have a big car, you have to reverse in off the main road, making sure not to hit a neighbours parked car as you go. A workman parked too far over one morning, blocking our exit. The garden at the rear is nicely set out. We didn’t use due to it being March. However, there is a working farm directly behind the garden, which contains sheep. The cottage does not have a boiler, heating is provided by electric heaters, with none in the kitchen which made it a little chilly. There are a couple of portable heaters provided though. Hot water is from an immersion heater, so you have to remember to turn it on, if you want hot water. The additional radiators only work if you get a roaring fire going on the multi fuel burner and keep it going. You are expected to buy your own fuel for this to work. We did enjoy our stay and if we wanted to visit the same area again, we would be happy to stay at Wren Cottage. We’re not sure we would go in the depths of winter though, due to the heating situation.
