Snaptrip says

Margaret's Cottage in the Yorkshire Dales offers stunning views, tranquillity, and a warm welcome from the owners. Guests praise its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and the convenience of starting walks right from the doorstep. The local pub is a hit for its food and proximity. While there are mentions of a noisy water system and a shared garden, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless. There was a single mention of a strong odour and some items not being as clean as expected, but these appear to be isolated incidents.

The location is consistently lauded for its stunning views and peacefulness. Its proximity to walks and a friendly local pub adds to the appeal. The overwhelming majority of guests were enchanted by the setting.

Comfort is highly rated, with guests finding the cottage cosy and well-equipped. There was a minor issue with a noisy water system that affected comfort for some, but overall, the cottage is considered very comfortable.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the cottage described as well-stocked and thoughtfully equipped. However, there were comments about a noisy shower and the need for improvements, which suggests some maintenance is required.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience with the owner and the cottage's amenities, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be guaranteed for future guests. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

The delightful sitting room, offers views of the garden and the magnificent Swaledale countryside, with a kitchen and dining area, as well as two welcoming bedrooms, one of which has fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. A scattering of traditional farms and cottages make up the village of Low Row situated to the north of the River Swale. Its eighteenth-century houses and hotel clustered around the triangular village green make it one of the very popular Dales villages. Askrigg better known to millions as Darrowby in TV's James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small" is just a short drive away as well as Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force (England's highest single drop waterfall at 99ft).
