Sleights is a picturesque village located on the River Esk which has its own train station, ideal for getting around the local area.  The Pamper Lodge is situated amongst stunning grounds with many local walks to enjoy right from the doorstep, or why not try a spot of fishing down by the river.  Whitby, just a short drive away, is steeped in history and offers many events and festivals throughout the year, from the bi-annual Goth Weekender to the Whitby Regatta.  You’ll also find many shops, bars and restaurants, as well as an award-winning fish and chip shop.  The old part of town is great for exploring, with its cobbled streets, many goth shops, bazaars and jewellery shops, famous for using the Whitby jet stone.  While exploring. . .
