This single storey dwelling is a lovely base for a couple looking to break away from their normal routines and enjoy this beautiful part of Yorkshire. The sitting room is complete with a beamed full height ceiling, providing a lovely space to unwind after an action-packed day, getting comfortable on the sofa while the woodburning stove crackles and the TV entertains. Move into the kitchen to rustle up a tasty meal, housing a good selection of appliances to assist you, before you can settle down at the dining table to tuck in and toast to a much-needed getaway. Ruth and Ian were very welcoming and most attentive, especially as there was an electrical fault in the local area when we arrived. This was soon sorted and we were able to eat a most delicious meal at the nearby Wheatsheaf Inn. We walked the nearby rail trail- well worth it, visited Whitby Abbey, Robin Hood's Bay & Dalby Forest.

The barn is perfectly located with 2 pub/restaurants within 100m yet still has plenty of privacy. The welcome from Ruth was greatly appreciated and the full brief on the stable. This was the best accommodation we have stayed at, thank you. Regards Julian

It has been lovingly converted and is very comfortable for a week's stay. Perfectly located for everything that you might want to do in the area. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to stay, hopefully we can return one day. Can also strongly recommend the Wheatsheaf Inn, excellent food.
