Snaptrip says

Delft Cottage in Whitby is a quaint and cosy property, praised for its excellent location and charming character. Guests appreciate its proximity to local amenities and the beach, as well as the comfortable beds. While some find the space smaller than expected and note a need for maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending the cottage for its traditional features and homely feel.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found Delft Cottage to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. A few remarks about a damp smell and the need for a deeper clean suggest minor inconsistencies, but the general consensus is that the property is kept in good condition.

The location of Delft Cottage is highly praised, being situated in the heart of Robin Hood's Bay, close to the beach, shops, and eateries. Its central position in the village is a highlight for guests, despite the challenges with parking and unloading.

Guests find the beds very comfortable and the cottage cosy, especially with the wood burner. However, some guests mention that the property feels cramped for four adults and the seating in the lounge is limited, affecting the overall comfort for larger groups.

The cottage is well-equipped with necessary kitchen facilities and guests appreciate the touches like milk and biscuits on arrival. However, comments about worn furnishings, a small fridge, and the lack of Wi-Fi indicate that some facilities could be improved or updated.

The provision of milk and biscuits is mentioned positively, reflecting a degree of thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are not consistently highlighted across reviews, it is clear that while appreciated, such gestures are not a guaranteed feature of every stay.

Exactly how it looks on the pictures, it's small but has everything you need for a few nights stay. Everything worked and there was milk and biscuits on arrival which was a really lovely touch and welcome. Really comfortable bed, can see that this cottage is well maintained and looked after. The only thing I would say which is very small is maybe the sofa cushion covers need to be taken off and washed as was a few stains on them. TV worked well but to be honest the weather was so nice we never really watched it. I can imagine this in winter months to be even more magical with the log burner etc it would be very cosy. Shower was clean and worked well, easy to adjust. It was nice to have a little welcome handbook and nice to see gas safe certificates etc. perfect location right in the heart of robin hoods bay, close to the front and lovely walking round all the little winding paths. Would definitely recommend and stay here again, maybe next time we would stay at this property in the cooler months to experience cosy night by the fire.

The cottage had everything we needed and was spotless, we had a lovely time away and look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

Cottage perfect. Central gas heating is excellent. Only drawback (as with anywhere in the bay) is the parking and carrying luggage to property. Although this cottage is fairly close to the road. We will be back with dog next time.
