Snaptrip says

Ty Fferm Bodlasan is highly praised for its stunning location, comfort, and welcoming hosts. Guests enjoy the property's proximity to a private beach and the peaceful, secluded setting. The farmhouse charm and friendly farm animals add to the delightful experience. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many guests planning return visits.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-presented, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as unwashed crockery and cutlery, which slightly impacts the overall score.

The location is consistently lauded for its tranquillity, stunning views, and proximity to a nearly private beach. The secluded setting offers peace and quiet, with easy access to local attractions, making it an ideal retreat.

Guests find the farmhouse comfortable, with spacious rooms and a cosy atmosphere. Some guests mentioned the need for additional heating and more comfortable seating, suggesting room for improvement in this area.

The property is well-equipped for a holiday stay, with a few guests noting the need for maintenance on items like the toaster and washing line. The presence of a piano, although unplayable, indicates a range of facilities, but maintenance issues prevent a higher score.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of welcome hampers and fresh eggs enhancing the guest experience. While such gestures are appreciated, it is noted that these are not guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

Llanfachraeth 1 mile.

A delightful, stone-built detached Grade II listed farmhouse on a working arable farm, in an isolated position at the end of a long track, 1 mile from Llanfachraeth village and its local pub, yet just a few hundred yards walk to the coast, deserted coves and beaches found along this craggy western coast of Anglesey. This lovely Anglesey cottage is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1849, and has been sympathetically restored to retain many original features, with exposed beams, sash windows, slate floors, and low doorways throughout. This Anglesey cottage offers a fitted kitchen with pantry/utility room, a separate dining room with exposed beams, Rayburn stove and upright piano, and two delightful sitting rooms, allowing the adults to relax in one room, whilst the children play in the other. Outside, this Anglesey cottage is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are fantastic views of Holyhead Bay and the cottage has its own private track down to the coast. There is an enclosed lawn, a safe place for the children to play whilst you sit and soak up the sunshine, or cook the catch of the day over the BBQ. This Anglesey cottage is in a secluded location, set in the centre of 100 acres of the owners' farmland, next to some of the farm's old outbuildings, now used for storage, offering a fantastic chance to get away from it all. This cottage on Anglesey is also in a great location for Melin Llynon windmill, South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Plas Newydd NT mansion, beautiful Snowdonia and is close enough to Holyhead Port to even enjoy a day-trip to Ireland. An ideal Anglesey cottage to enjoy a year-round seaside holiday in a lovely, peaceful coastal location.

Llanfachraeth on Anglesey is a small village with a shop and a pub, on the lovely West coast, a few miles from the sandy beach at Trearddur Bay. The village offers easy access to this beautiful coastline, and is also great for fishermen who will enjoy the proximity to the River Alaw and Llyn Alaw reservoir. Anglesey's attractions can all be easily reached, from the watersports and sand dunes of Rhosneigr to the elegance of NT Plas Newydd mansion and gardens, or the history of Beaumaris Castle to the family fun of the Sea Zoo.

We are thankfull that we had great weather , which was a added bonus. The views and breath taking and the it's so nice for my two kids who are autistic to just feel free and run around without any worry. The cottage it self was stunning and had everything we needed . We all had a wonderful time, so much we didn't want to leave. However we are coming back next year. Margaret and alwen are lovely and we especially like our chats with Margaret she made us feel part of the family . My kids highlight was seeing if the chickens had been let out, they loved the chickens so much they even named them. We had our first night back at our home and we hated all the noise, it's so busy and hectic. The cottage is a little haven where you can relax and be comfortable.

The walk down to the beach might have been very muddy after all the rain (since October!), but well worth it. Spacious sitting rooms and bedrooms. Handy for anywhere on the island, but we just enjoyed the peace and quiet most.

Nice and remote with amazing views across to Holyhead Harbour. Cottage was beautifully kept and was extremely cosy in the living room with the fire going on a cold January night. We will definitely be staying again
