Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests found it spotless and tidy, others reported issues with cleanliness, including dog hairs and unclean kitchenware. The negative comments suggest room for improvement, but the positive remarks indicate that the lodge can be well-maintained.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local towns and attractions. Guests enjoyed the quiet park setting and found it to be a great base for exploring New Quay and other areas. The scenic surroundings contributed positively to the overall experience.

Comfort levels varied among guests. Some found the lodge cosy and the beds comfortable, while others mentioned issues with mattresses and seating. The presence of both positive and negative feedback suggests that while the lodge can be comfortable, there is potential for enhancement in this area.

Facilities and maintenance received mixed reviews. Guests appreciated the well-equipped lodge and the amenities provided, but also reported maintenance issues such as peeling worktops and unreliable Wi-Fi. The feedback indicates that while the lodge offers good facilities, attention to maintenance is needed.

Several guests mentioned thoughtful gestures such as welcome packs with Welsh cakes and milk, which added a personal touch to their stay. However, as these gifts are not consistently referenced, it is polite to note that such thoughtful extras, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

There was no gravel area to the the right of the property to park your car. The cutlery were filthy, we used our our own picnic cutlery. Work surface unhygienic, needs repairing or replacing. No tv reception, Furniture tired and looks grubby.

The firmness or otherwise of the mattress is very much a matter of personal preference, for us, double mattress ok, single not so (solved with a mattress topper). We found the electric heaters to be highly efficient, only needing to be set on low to maintain a pleasant temperature. In the lodge info pack, the suggested eating establishments for those with dogs were spot on. The joining instructions need to be updated as the pond is now hidden behind a fence, it may now be simpler to just say take the first left. Would we use this lodge again, yes.
