About this property

This holiday home in Newport, Pembrokeshire, is the perfect place for families to come and enjoy their time together. It's only a short 5 minute walk from the coast on the Parrog and within short driving distance of so many memorable Pembrokeshire highlights! This semi-detached house has four bedrooms and an open-plan living space, ideal for a family get together. Be greeted by two off-road parking spaces before stepping inside to discover the entrance hallway, featuring a lovely, tiled floor. On your left, the snug is a bright and airy space furnished with a sofa, an armchair, and is a great spot for relaxing in the evenings with a good book. Moving through the property, locate the open-plan living space with its woodburning stove for a rustic feel and a TV to catch up on your favourite shows. Enjoy mealtimes together at the dining table, which can be prepared in the well-appointed kitchen with the rangemaster cooker to assist you. The shaker-style kitchen also offers a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher for all of your culinary needs. Venture outside onto the large lawn, where a barbecue offers alternative cooking arrangements, and you can savour a cold beverage on the garden furniture. As day draws to night, retire inside and make use of the ground-floor shower for rinsing away any sand from a day well spent on the beach. Venture upstairs to choose between four charming bedrooms, with two doubles, an adult's bunk bedroom and a cosy single. Begin the day with a soothing soak in the family bathroom in the roll top bath or opt for a quick wash in the separate shower. Get better acquainted with your surroundings and explore the town of Newport, which is home to a number of popular eateries including the Golden Lion, the Castle Inn, Blas at Fronlas and Tides Kitchen & Bar Further. Stretch your leg and venture to the town outskirts to visit the stunning picture postcard perfect Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber, a 5500 year old Neolithic chambered tomb before travelling down the coast to Fishguard, to learn about local heroine Jemima Nicholas and her trusted pitch fork and the 1797 Last Invasion of Mainland Britain Tapestry in the Town Hall. Take in the gorgeous sights of Lower Town, which was the setting for Hollywood greats Gregory Peck in Moby Dick and Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood. Further north meanwhile is Cardigan, a charming market town and home toits castle that hosted the first Welsh Eisteddfod in 1176. Go inland to explore the mythical Preseli Hills - the birthplace of the Stonehenge Preseli Bluestone and walk the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which is on your doorstep! All the rooms are really well put together and the kitchen diner is a great entertaining area - the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need. Waking up to see the views of the estuary and headland from the double bedrooms was delightful. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Llys Aeron for anyone visiting Pembrokeshire.

The decor is especially pleasing and there is a warm and friendly feel to the house. We stayed there for Christmas, but could imagine the even greater enjoyment of a summer visit.

The house itself is well designed to suit families and groups of friends. The kitchen is a delight for those who like to cook, and the dining facilities are more than adequate for 7/8 people. We had a great fortnight there.
