This cottage is a self-contained wing of the owner’s 17th-century farmhouse and is set in 200 acres of NT farmland, grazed by sheep, cattle and donkeys, offering cosy holiday accommodation.  Tastefully furnished throughout, features include a wood-burning stove in the living room and an attractive French rosewood bed.  There is a delightful farm trail to explore.  Betws-y-Coed (3 miles) boasts the spectacular Swallow Falls; at Capel Curig (8 miles) the mountaineering centre offers rock climbing, skiing and canoeing.  The nearby village of Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia, has much to offer, including the fabulous, family-friendly treetop nets at Zip World Fforest.  A short drive takes you to Blaenau Ffestiniog which offers adrenaline junkies the options of trying Europe’s longest zip lines, or Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets in an old slate cavern.  If this is too much,. . .
