Fairbourne is a village in the Snowdonia National Park, which nestles between the Cambrian Mountains and Barmouth Bay. It rests beside a huge sandy beach, perfect for family fun and watersports. The well-known town of Barmouth, with its pubs, restaurants and beautiful beach, is only a 30 minute walk away along The Bar, a strip of land along which the Fairbourne steam railway runs. The house and gardens need serious TLC. Kitchen, bathroom were fine and it was a very warm house. Beds comfortable. Log fire a nice touch. It was a lot bigger than l thought it would be.

The welcome gift of wine, bread and milk was much appreciated. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We did think the cottage needed some t l c and we did find that the front bedroom window is locked and could not be opened. Cottage is in a good location for visiting the surrounding area and attractions.
