Snaptrip says

Hen Ysgubor Cottage in Bala is highly praised for its warm, cosy atmosphere and stunning views. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, tasteful decor, and the property's proximity to local attractions. The owners are commended for their hospitality and attentiveness. While there is a mention of a smell from a recent boiler service and minor maintenance issues, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and well-kept. There was, however, a single mention of dust and woodworm which suggests room for improvement, but this does not seem to be a common concern.

The location is frequently described as beautiful, with great views and proximity to Bala Lake and the town centre. It serves as an excellent base for exploring North Wales, contributing to its high rating.

Guests consistently report the cottage as comfortable, cosy, and a 'home away from home', with only minor issues regarding a jamming door. The comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of the property are often highlighted.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped and having good amenities. There are some concerns about maintenance, such as a jamming door and a boiler issue, which slightly lower the score.

The owners are frequently mentioned for their thoughtfulness, providing welcome trays and festive decorations. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.
