About this property

The Honey Pot is one of three gorgeous holiday cottages set within the peaceful grounds of Tyddyn Mawr House nestled in the beautiful Welsh countryside near Porthmadog. There are 14 acres of land to explore which include well-maintained gardens, with seating areas tucked around every corner, and a delightful summer house stocked with a library of books and DVDs.

The bright and airy open planned living space has French doors opening out onto a private courtyard. There is a dining area and comfortable seating with a TV, DVD player and electric fire for cosy evenings.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything that you could need with a dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob, fridge / freezer, microwave and Dulce Gusto coffee machine.

There are two bedrooms. A double bedroom has direct access onto the private courtyard and has a TV with DVD player and ensuite with a bath with shower attachment, hand basin and loo.

A twin room has small singles (2ft, 6inches wide), wardrobe, a TV with DVD player and an ensuite wet room with a walk in shower with hand basin and loo.

The 14 acres of shared grounds include mature gardens, a lake for wild swimming or fishing (catch and release policy) and farmed fields. In addition there is a private and enclosed paved seating area.

The Honey Pot is a lovely detached stone bungalow that’s been designed with a clean country style and has bags of charm. You could easily spend a holiday here without ever needing to leave the grounds, but if a day’s exploration is on the cards you will find a private lake with views across the valley, perfect for a spot of fishing and a picnic. You also have the historic town of Criccieth with its castle, beaches and shops and heritage railway of Porthmadog and the Snowdonia National Park all just a short drive away.

If you need a little extra space, The Little Coach House is also available in the grounds sleeping a further two or if you have a larger group The Garden Cottage sleeps 4.

Please note that there are live stock in the fields so dogs must be kept on leads in specific areas.

Pretty little hamlet known locally as Garn, on the outskirts of Porthmadog, a short drive away. Enjoy lovely views over the mountains and Cwm Pennant.
