Runswick Bay is a quaint former fishing village located on the North Yorkshire Coast with a little cafe and village pub.
Situated just 8 miles north of the popular town of Whitby and 2 miles south of Staithes (famous for Captain Cook) you will find this quiet, little village clustered against the cliffside. Traditional red pantile roofs, whitewashed properties, a glorious dog friendly sandy beach awaits you.
Consistently maintaining its Quality Coast Beach Award, Runswick Bay has also been voted best place to have a holiday home in the UK, beating Cornwall and Devon and the best Beachcombing award as the village is a haven for fossil hunters. The Cleveland Way walking route winds its way through the village and along the beach. There is so much to see and do. You wished you had stayed longer.
