A wonderful restored Cornish cottage annexe with private sunny terrace in gorgeous countryside & close to the coast. Perfect for couples or as a writer’s or artist’s retreat.
Located in the grounds of Tregothal, a pefect bolthole for two, wonderfully nestled in a peaceful valley between the north & south coast of Cornwall yet close to the beaches at Marazion, Praa Sands, Perranuthnoe, Prussia Cove & Hayle.
Lower Crofty has been lovingly restored and provides ample “studio” accommodation for two. The terrace is a sun trap and with mountain biking, coarse fishing, wildlife, bird-watching, & the Halamanning engine house all on the doorstep, it is a truly unique spot to unwind.
The open plan accommodation is impeccably designed. The cute kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast, or prepare a lazy breakfast. The cosy yet bright, pretty lounge area has a sofa for two, perfect for curling up with a book and a glass of wine.
Upstairs, the sumptuous bedroom with low level double bed, opens onto the ensuite shower room which is tucked into the eaves. There is restricted head height in the bathroom, helped by a clever seat in the shower.
There is a lovely “sun trap” of a terrace outside the front door with fire bowl to toast a marshmallow, cook a sausage, or keep warm on chillier evenings.
Lower Crofty is located on the grounds of the larger Tregothal House. There is also an apartment on the grounds. All properties are cleverly screened to maximise privacy and benefit from their own parking.
Lower Crofty has a unique location in a sheltered valley close to the villages of Goldsithney & Marazion & within 8 miles of Penzance, Hayle, Helston & St Ives.
There is plenty to do right on the door step; course fishing on the neighbouring ponds, footpaths for walking or running, trails for mountain biking, bird watching for red kites & cornish choughs.
A short drive takes you to the romantic St Michaels Mount, search for smuggling tunnels at Prussia Cove, surf at Praa Sands, kite surfing at Marazion, shopping & art galleries at St Ives & a great selection of local pubs & restaurants.
